Charles Dassance, President of CF has been a familiar face and contributor to CF since 1996.
When he announced his retirement this week in an email, he told faculty that his intention is to retire at the end of this semester.
"This has been the most difficult decision of my career, as I care so deeply for the college and still have so much passion and energy for the job, but I think this is a good time for the college to transition to new leadership," Dassance said. "I have always hoped I would know when is the right time to leave and I hope I have judged correctly."
According to the email sent by Dassance, He plans to remain as engaged in school functions
Dassance plans to keep faculty and students heavily involved in the selection process for the new president.
The board has begun an immediate search for the new president of CF. The hope to introduce an outline of the transition to the public sometime in April.
"While there will be time to say farewell, I want to thank you now for all the support you have given me and the college during our time together," Dassance said. "I have great confidence in the future of CF because of your competence and your dedication to what this college is and will be. From the bottom of my heart, thank you."
